    Started researching X10 controllers

I started researching X10 controllers. Yes

Thinking over the winter to start on setting up my 135/125g to be all controlled using X10. Seems pretty simple.

thanks for the link jb Yes

my main goal starting this is to write a program that can monitor and control a reef aquarium(s) using X10. I would like to release this software to the public as freeware once I fully tested it.

    Party!!!

Well I ordered some X10 outlets and also got a USB temperature sensor. I also got a controller for the X10 outlets that will allow me to control all the X10 outlets using a computer.

I also started coding the software to controller the X10 outlets. It will be a WEB page where I can dry on/off times and also set triggers where I can turn on/off X10 outlets using the controller software.

Hopefully in the next few weeks I can make some progress.

well got some of the screen layout completed, should be able to post some screen shots for review this weekend.

I also plan on hooking up the X10 so I can controll the lighting to start with as a first step by next week.

    Cool

I don't like how the main screen is turning out, my design/layout isn't working for me.Because of this I won't post something that I don't even like.

Back to the drawing board. Angry

Thanks everyone for jumping in on this thread. It really shows me this will be very useful to the Reef Aquarium Hobbyist and makes me even more to make it the best reef controller available.

I had some things come up that I had to deal but I'll try get some screen captures up here this weekend (Sunday?) for everyone.

Thanks again everyone. It really helps.
