Well I got the basic test program completed and this afternoon wanted hook the computer up so I could try to control an X10 outlet. The connection is a DB9 connection which my laptop doesn't have.

So I ordered a DB9 to USB converter this afternoon from newegg.com. Should get it next week.

nice, really cant wait until you have this running.

Don't think I'll make any progress on the controller this week because of Easter. Tons of things to finish up before the family comes over.

I'll start cracking on it again next week.

My game plan for this week is to get the USB to Serial Port device working. Think the test will come when I hook everything up and try to send commands to the X10 device.
