Just got done adding in 2 x 48" T5 powered by an Icecap 660 ballast into the lights for the 135g. My plan now is they will be used for sunrise and sunset. I'll see if they need to be on longer even when the 3 x MH are running. I have 14k MH bulbs which I already enjoy the color of all the corals now, just wonder what an extra boost of acticnic lighting will add.

I have to stay the kit I purchased was fairly simply once I figured what was required. The directions for the kit are really bad, bascially 4 pages of how to wire serveral different lighting setups. Depending on 2 bulbs, 3 bulbs or 4 bulbs will change the wiring.

I can't lift the hood back up onto the tank myself so I'll need to wait for the wife to arrive home.

Really want to see the 135g under actinic lighting only. I'll kick on the three MH bulbs like normally then wait until later tonight before they are ready to go off and then I'll light up the T5's.

Tonight 

Did a few things this afternoon, cleaned up the wire harness so it looks better. Also mounted the ballast to the back of the tank hood.

I didn't like using the wire nuts for the power so I replaced them also.I really hate wire nuts.

I'll try to post some pictures tonight when the hood is on the tank.

Even that the lights where only on since 5:00pm this afternoon, I plan on turning the main MH lights off around 10:30pm and see how the actinics look lighting up the tank.

Now if I can only remember the camera.

Well lastnight I turned off all the MH on the 135g and just had the actinics on.

Very amazing colors the actinics along produce.

everything was growing before the lights and everything is still growing well so I can't tell. I do like the colors that they add when they are on and also when the MH are off the glow is amazing.
