What is a good rate to dose kalk? 

Depends on tank size. What is your tank size?

If you have a small tank then your drip rate for a gallon of kalk could be over 6 hours, if your tank is like 200gallons total then you could dump the entire gallon into the tank and it won't matter. The guy at the local petstore dumps in 5 gallons of kalk water into his system everyday in about 1/2 min. 

Just a FYI, on my 65gal tank I drip a gallon of kalk in about 4 hours, sometimes less. On my 135gallon with a 55gal sump and a 20refgium, my plan is to dose 5 gallons in 2 hours.

I drip a 1 gallon container over 6 hours starting when the lights go out.

Drip about a gallon every 8 to 12 hours. Doing it quicker will increase your pH in the tank and cause a ton of damage.
