Lower tank temps?

    Lower tank temps?

    So the high of the summer heat is here, how do you lower your tanks temp?

    Fans ? Chiller ? Lights Off ? Other?

    Normally run the air on the very hot days, then raise the hood about 4" and have a fan blowing across the top.

    I also have a dehumidifier running 24/7 near the tanks. If all that doesn't work a few bags of ice will lower the tanks down a few degrees.

    fans will work. I have on the same timers as the lights, once the lights come on the fan turns on.

    also rasising the hood just 2" works well to reduce the heat.

    fans going crazy for the last few weeks, temps outside in the 90's and even with the air on is hard keeping the tank cooled down.
